• ITEC Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology
• ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage
• ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage
• ITEC Diploma in Lymphatic Drainage Massage
• ITEC Diploma in Aromatherapy
• ITEC Diploma in Reflexology

All courses are non-residential (local accommodation is available, please ask when you book).

Courses start at 1000 and end around 1630 each day. Students will need to provide their own lunches.

Deposits and course fees are non refundable unless the school has to cancel the course for any reason.

Additional Extras for the Course

There are additional costs whilst training which you need to budget for. If you are planning to work from home or have a mobile practice, you will need to purchase the correct equipment:

• Massage therapists and Aromatherapists will need a massage couch
• Reflexologists working from home will need either a massage couch or a Reflexology stool. The latter is lighter and is ideal to use when working outside the home.

The Examining Body

The International Therapy Examination Council (I.T.E.C.) was founded in 1973. Since then it has grown to nearly 500 educational establishments both in this country and world wide including Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, South Africa, Japan, Kenya, Malta, Malaysia.

Its mission statement is "to provide a world-class independent examination system, with universally high
standards, whose qualifications are recognised world-wide".

At a time when the medical profession is increasingly willing to recognise the real benefits of Complementary therapies, ITEC stands high in the opinion of The British Medical Council. It is also accepted by The Institute for Complementary Medicine, The British Complementary Medicine Association, The Aromatherapy Organisation Council and The Guild of Complementary Practitioners, some of the lead governing bodies in the field of Complementary Medicine. ITEC Diploma qualifications are also recognised by The Department for Education and are considered equivalent to `A` Level standard.

Do I need any Qualifications to Attend the Course?

ITEC courses require a lot of written work, so you do need to be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard. This can be wavered if evidence can be produced that you have reached the educational standards required. Life experiences are also taken into consideration, and age is considered an advantage.

But the main pre-requisites you need are a willingness to learn, an open mind and a love of people.

Are there Any Grants Available?

Some grants may be available towards the courses. Please ask the tutor for details when you book.

How to Apply

If you would like to apply for a place on the course, the first step is to email the school. You will then be contacted by a tutor who will arrange for you to have an informal interview.

This gives the student the opportunity to meet the course tutor. It is important that you have chosen the right course, so you will be encouraged to ask questions and discuss any special needs you may have.

After you interview, if it is felt that you would be suited to your chosen course, you will then be asked to register and leave a deposit. If you decide that the course is not right for you, then you are under no obligation to
register after your interview.
